I am upgrading a DNN Ver. 4.8.4 site running on Windows Server 2003. I followed the steps detailed in "Installing or upgrading SilverlightDesktop for DotNetNuke4". I installed Silverlight Desktop, Adefwebserver\HelloWorld and my own Silverlight module that has a calendar, textbox, button and blue gradient on <grid.background>. All 3 installed with no errors but the module screens are blank and white colored. silverlightdesktop.net comes up in my browser with all controls. What configuration setting should be checked? |

Partial solution - I missed adding the MIME type. http://www.adefwebserver.com/DotNetNukeHELP/Misc/Silverlight/SettingMimeType.html) HelloWorld now works. BUT Silverlight Desktop is still blank. My module: Button and textbox are not appearing. Grid.background gradient and calendar now display. |

| I am unsure what the problem is. You indicated "silverlightdesktop.net comes up in my browser with all controls" then you said it was blank. |

Found the answer. 1) "http://silverlightdesktop.net/ comes up in my browser with all controls." I opened a new browser window with URL: silverlightdeskop.net. Just a browser test to make sure Silverlight does run on the Windows Server 2003. I was using IE version 6. 2) Using IE6, I open a browser to my DNN instance running Windows Server 2003, with the MIME defined, I get this partial result. HelloWorld now works. My Module works(fixed a bug). BUT Silverlight Desktop is still blank. - Just white rectangle. 3) The fix Upgraded to IE version 7. Pointing to my DNN site, every module displays all controls ... Strange that IE version 6 displays http://Silverlightdesktop.net/ properly but does not display the same installed module on my DNN site. IE version 7 had to be installed. |
